Ever since Mr. Narendra Modi ji and his BJP party had a land slide victory in India, we have been hearing a lot of buzzwords and announcements. Some of these keywords include: swatch Bharat (clean India), corruption free, smart cities, infrastructures, alternative energy, foreign investments, and creating jobs. The list goes on to convey his message of wanting to change India’s image, attract foreign investors, improve economy, and march toward global leadership. Like every common man, I have questioned, where are the changes?
The India Conference, organized by the Harvard Business School in Boston, MA, was the ideal place to find the answers to this question. I was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to cover this event by the organizers. This conference provided first-hand information and action plans regarding business ideas and proposals relating to India from 90+ professionals. The speakers included representatives from various industries, entrepreneurs, politicians, ambassadors, government officials, Harvard faculty members, and many more. Anyone interested in involvement with business in India will be hard pressed to find a better place to do so than this conference.
